Immediate Opportunities to Help
We have a variety of ways that you can help Mission Circle reach out to help those in need, whether for an hour or a day, on either side of the border.
Construction for Mother Teresa: Some volunteers from Mission Circle go down to do light construction and repair work for the nuns in Mother Teresa’s order every Wednesday from about 8:30 to 4:00. Normally we go to the house in National City, but occasionally we go to the house in Tijuana. You can join us as often or as infrequently as you would like. Construction experience is NOT required. Contact Peter Godefroy (858) 755-0613 Peteg8@pacbell.net
Secretary: Mission Circle is looking for a person to take on the daunting task of being the organizations Secretary. The responsibilities include a) attending the vast majority of the Mission Circle Board Meeting (7pm to 9pm on the third Wednesday of every month), b) preparing the one or two page minutes in time for the next meeting and c) signing maybe half a dozen legal documents each year (banking resolutions, etc.). Girls Home: Maintenance supervisor needed to help oversee maintenance work on Casa Eudes in Tijuana one or two Saturdays per month. Identify work and materials needed, schedule volunteers, participate in the work. Skilled or unskilled workers also needed. Contact Don Brosnahan (760) 436-4920, don.brosnahan@cox.net
Crafts: Help enlighten the life of a young lady who could use some positive interactions and fun. We do a craft project at Casa Eudes in Tijuana once a month. Contact Vreni Crimmins (760) 436-2678, vrenicrim@aol.com
